But all the enthusiasm of two kids on a trip, hoping, are we there yet? Made it a bit easier to deal with the early turbulence that came in the form of a big glass of VB spilt all over Amy lap and what I’m certain constitutes a breach of the Geneva convention – when we lost all power to both of our seats, leaving us with no movies or light to read by, in darkness with nothing but each others fine company (and Amy’s wet, beer scented backside) for about 6 hours. A local brew and bag of chips in Hong Kong later, and we were out cold!
The next day it was Matt & Ames race around Hong Kong before a 5 pm flight to Toronto… The internationally mediocre blend produced by Starbucks gave us the fuel to launch into a jam packed day wandering and soaking up the world famous waterfront views, and a cable car to ‘the peak’ for a different perspective of the remarkable panorama. Typically, having bitten off more tourist checklist items than we had time for, we quickly found ourselves racing through the labyrinth of overhead walkways toward (or at least so we thought) our hotel. Lost, sweating and stressing in the humidity (weather in the low 30s) we fell back to Plan D, hailed a cab and paid the fee required to get us back to the hotel to collect our bag, then to the airport shuttle train. We arrived at the Cathay Pacific desk literally 2 mins before last ticketing.
It’s all about getting maximum bang from your stopover … Next stop Toronto!

VB?!?! What were they out of Eagle Blue?
Truth be known, first beer request landed me a Fosters light... and the lady was off serving the rest of the plane before i knew what beer came in a light blue can... never thought I'd say it but after that I was almost happy with a VB... Ames, not so much!
Cathay Pacific... it's the subtle differences!
Well Captain Planet (no penal size inuendo intended) I hope the scent of VB did it for you, personally I prefer Coopers with a dash of Shiraz! Good to hear your keeping to your normal schedule. Hope Can na dia is providing some entertainment and the best man duties weren't to onerous.
